GIRLS + WOMEN IN FLAG
Girls and women are not simply entering the game. They are expanding it, leading it and creating what comes next.
FLAGCITY™ exists to help grow the sport, change the culture, invite more people in and make every pathway across flag football easier to see and pursue.
Our mission
Participation matters. But access cannot end at the sideline.
We want girls to see a future in the game and women to have the access, relationships and resources to shape it. That means creating opportunities to play, coach, officiate, lead, tell stories, make decisions, build organizations and own businesses throughout the flag football ecosystem.
Create more ways for girls and women to discover the game, enter it, stay in it and advance through it.
Build a sport where women are visible, respected, heard and trusted with influence at every level.
Reach girls, families and communities that have not always seen a clear place for themselves in football.
Turn participation into lasting opportunities for mentorship, leadership, careers, entrepreneurship and ownership.
There is more than one way into the game
You do not have to be an athlete to belong in flag football. The sport needs people with different talents, experiences and ambitions.
Whatever you bring to the game, there should be a pathway for you to use it.
From access to ownership
The future of the sport will be shaped by who receives opportunities, who is connected to decision-makers, whose ideas are supported and who has the access to lead, build and own.
Our work is centered on four connected pathways:
Connecting girls and women with people who can share knowledge, open doors and help them navigate what comes next.
Preparing and elevating women to coach, manage, direct, govern and make decisions throughout the sport.
Making the full flag football economy visible, from media and marketing to operations, technology, health, performance and event production.
Helping more women become founders, operators, investors, executives and owners of the organizations shaping the game.
Resources for girls + women in flag
We are beginning to gather credible programs, organizations and tools that can help girls and women find opportunities across the game.
This resource collection will continue to grow. Resource listings are provided for informational purposes and do not imply endorsement, sponsorship or partnership.
Whether you want to play, coach, officiate, create, lead, mentor, invest or build, FLAGCITY™ is creating a place for you to connect with the people, information and opportunities moving the sport forward.
Or maybe you have never been involved in flag football at all. Hey, you’re invited. Come learn the sport, feel the energy, meet people and find your community. You do not need experience or an established role to belong here.
Be invited to future FLAGCITY™ opportunities, resources and experiences.
